Build your team and find the right people for it
On 15–17 May 2027, 300 people meet in the heart of Copenhagen for three days of tantra, breath, touch and celebration. A festival like that isn't made by two people. It's made by a team.
We're building that team now, and there might be a place in it for you.

Let's be honest from the start: the team lead roles are unpaid. Nobody does this for the money.
You do it because you want to be part of the largest tantric event in Denmark. Because you'd love to help create a festival people talk about for months afterwards. Because organising something big, with a real responsibility of your own, makes you come alive.
And because of the people. You'll be working side by side with some of the warmest, most wholehearted people we know, and by May you'll know them well.
300 participants, international teachers, three full days. Your team is one of the reasons it works.
You get a clear responsibility, a budget and the freedom to solve it your way. But you dont do it alone. You work closely with the founders of the festival Kate & Anders
Gatherings and social days in the teamleadgroup and with Kate & Anders, so we're friends long before the doors open.
Copenhagen Tantra Festival is founded and run by Kate Aura and Anders Lorentz. Together with two festival assistants, they form the coordination team that holds the overview.
The festival itself is created by its teams. Each team is led by a volunteer team lead, and each team has its own question to answer. Not a list of chores, but a question. For Clean + Greet it's how do we give every guest a warm welcome and a clean, comfortable venue all weekend? For Sound it's how do we give every workshop room sound that any facilitator can plug into in a minute? You'll find each team's question below. How the team answers it is largely up to the team lead.
It's not a hierarchy. It's a group of people who each take care of their part, and help each other with the rest.

As a team lead you're responsible for your team and for what it delivers. This is the same for all the teams.
Build your team and find the right people for it
Define what each team member does
Plan the shift schedule for the festival weekend
Manage your team's budget, and buy what the team needs
Keep Kate or Anders in the loop, and say so early when something is stuck
You work close with Kate & Anders and the assistans to get your team ready for the festival.
You are responsible for your team, but you are never alone. Kate or Anders are always there to support you or help decide with difficult decisions
Your own the team meetings, as often as your team needs them
Time: we agree on it together. In the beginning we expect a few hours a week. It grows as we get closer, to around 15 hours in the week before the festival. During the festival you're on full time, still with room to join workshops along the way
Your own festival ticket, plus one extra ticket to give to a friend
A real say in how the festival turns out
A look into the engine room of a festival for 300 people
A team of people you'll be glad you met
You will be a part of changing peoples lives forever
You don't need to have led a festival team before. It helps if you've organised something, led volunteers or run a project, and you need to enjoy both people and spreadsheets a little.
How do we give every guest a warm welcome and a clean, comfortable venue all weekend?
Your team is the first thing guests meet and the reason the venue still feels good on day three.
Making sure participants, crew and facilitators feels welcome all three days
Check-in when guests arrive, and check-out on the last day
Keeping toilets and common areas clean during the festival, and restocking supplies
Cleaning the crew and facilitator rooms
Snacks for facilitators and crew
A good fit if you are warm people loving and practical, and like it when things simply work.
How do we make every workshop room ready and well supported, so facilitators can focus on teaching?
Your team looks after the workshop rooms and the people teaching in them.
An angel present at every workshop
Getting each room ready: mattresses moved, floor vacuumed, room clean
A workshop box in every room (tissues, pens and the small things that are always missing)
Helping facilitators with whatever they need
A good fit if you stay calm when a lot happens at once, and notice what a room needs before anyone asks.
How do we give every workshop room clear, reliable sound that any facilitator can plug into in a minute?
Your team makes sure every facilitator can be heard and every playlist just plays.
Deciding what what equipment to rent and what to buy: speakers, microphones, Bluetooth adapters, cables
A little light where it's needed (it's a small part of the job)
Setting up and testing the sound in each workshop room before the festival
Being the one facilitators call when something doesn't work
A good fit if you know your way around sound gear and like making technical things simple for others.
How do we get 300 people excited enough to show up?
Your team is the face of the festival, from the first announcement to the last thank-you.
Keeping the website up to date
Social media posts before, during and after the festival
Answering questions from participants, and keeping the FAQ current
Documenting the festival
How do we tell people about the festival, so they can decide if they want to join or not
A good fit if you write well, enjoy social media, and like the mix of creativity and numbers.
We're looking for two structured, trustworthy and cheerful assistants who want to be our close link in the months up to the festival, and during it. You'll work very close with both Kate and Anders, across all areas of the festival.
This is an assistant role. It's practical and administrative: you take care of the many small and large tasks that have to be solved along the way, so things keep moving. You don't lead the teams. You're the one who makes sure nothing falls between them.
Communication with the facilitators before and during the festival
Keeping the overview and coordinating (yes, there are spreadsheets, and they're friendly ones)
Following up on decisions and loose ends from our weekly meeting
Practical tasks of all kinds: bookings, lists, updates, questions that need an answer
Helping shape the festival along the way. You'll be in the room where it's created
Are good at communication and comfortable on a computer
Can work on your own and keep the overview
Enjoy responsibility and working closely with others
Like finishing things
We start as soon as possible
A weekly online meeting with Kate and Anders
2–3 hours a week in the beginning, and more as we get closer to the festival
You're with us for the whole festival, including set-up
A fixed fee that we agree on together. It's a thank-you for your work, but it shouldn't be the reason you apply
Your festival ticket and meals during the festival
A central role in creating the festival, from the first plans to the last hug
Close collaboration with Kate and Anders, and a community that matters
Send us an email at contact@cphtantrafestival.dk and tell us:
Which role you're applying for (you're welcome to name more than one)
What motivates you: why this festival, and why this role
What you've done before that's similar. A short CV is fine, and so is a few lines about what you've organised, led or built
It doesn't need to be long or polished. We'd rather hear your own voice.
What happens next: We read everything, and invite the people we'd like to know better to a conversation with Kate and Anders. We hold conversations on an ongoing basis and close each role when we've found the right person, so don't wait too long.
Want to help, but not lead a team? Read about joining the crew. Crew sign-up for 2027 opens later.
No. You need to be curious about it and comfortable in a space where people work with intimacy, emotions and the body.
Yes. Tell us which one you want most.
Most meetings are online. The social days and the festival itself are in Copenhagen.
Yes. Your ticket is included, and there's room to join workshops along the way, but the festival days are hectic, so if you mostly want to participate in workshops, these roles are not for you. Maybe join as one of the crew members inside the teams instead.
Yes, the assistants receive a fixed fee that we agree on together. The team lead roles are volunteer roles.
